Queen knocks off the rook in a game of chess to determine who is the victim and victor.

Victim or Victor

I don’t know where I heard this said, but I wholeheartedly agree that life is better when we TAKE responsibility and GIVE credit. Think about that.

When we take responsibility for a situation, a conversation, a mistake… we step into a place of power even if the results fall short of the desired outcome.

By taking responsibility we remove the ability to stay in a victim mentality.

Things are done TO victims.

Things are done THROUGH victors.

Mindset is everything.

The same holds true when we give credit to others for the good that happens.

Victims feel bad that they didn’t get the glory.

Victors celebrate giving others the glory.

When we take responsibility for how hard conversations go, we choose what, where, why, and how we speak.

As a victor, we choose to respond to statements with wisdom instead of reacting out of emotion.

Victims are easily offended.

Victors are unoffendable.

The more we take responsibility and give credit, the more we are empowered to live our lives with intentionality, generosity, and purpose.

Learn to be a victor! Join me August 24th at the C5 Workshop and learn to walk in sincere love and joy, being unoffendable.
