When an elephant in the herd is giving birth, others encircle her, facing outward to watch for signs of danger, and kick up dirt over the birthing mama to hide the scent and keep predators away. I liken it to my experience of birthing the first book in the LINAL Series – Loud Is Not A Language.
Almost every problem we have with people can be resolved by authentic, respectful communication. It provides the warmth that is lacking. The compassion that is needed. The understanding that is so greatly desired, though not often voiced.
