The Power of Heart Connection

Since seeing Wonder Woman, the new movie that has now gone beyond $750 million worldwide, I have not been able to get away from one aspect that I now see everywhere. Not the movie scenes, but the truth packed within them that play out in our everyday lives. Acting on what is in our hearts. Moving on it. Not letting it sit there and wish and wonder. But doing something about it! That’s the aspect of this movie that I love so much. It was when she began moving on what she believed deeply in her heart that she began to realize the power she had always had, but not yet tapped into. It may be a superhero movie, but it is packed with truth.

True compassion releases courage.

Remember the lion in the Wizard of Oz? He lost his courage and needed a new heart. Courage is more of a heart issue than most of us realize. Courage values what is in the heart, and acts on it.

In the Wonder Woman movie, it wasn’t until she stepped onto a battlefield and began fighting for what she believed in that she realized just how much power she had. As she fought, as she moved past the fear into action, her abilities that had been dormant surfaced. It is the same with us. What if our abilities are waiting to surface until we start moving in the direction our heart is drawn? That requires faith…faith that as you let the deep things in your heart guide you, you will surprise yourself with the awesomeness you find inside to accomplish those desires. Where is your compassion? What is drawing you? Isn’t the risk worth it?
