Cross the line of a divided highway.

Cross the Line

Road trips provide unique experiences, but one of my favorites as a kid was to cross state lines, get out of the car, and stand with one foot in one state and the other foot in another.

Another fun thing was to hold my brother’s hand while he was on one side of the line, and I was on the other. It seemed so extreme that we could hold hands yet be in different states.

Maybe it was so much fun because it sounded like such a large space. Truth is, it was an extremely small space. As small as one step.

Sometimes we feel like there is a great chasm between where we are and where we want to be. But what if it isn’t? What if, in actuality, it is as small as one step.

Assume that’s the case.

I would be happy to hold your hand like I did with my brother. Being in different states has its advantages.

What one step do you need to take today?
