We Aren’t Meant To Stay In Transition

A lot of people have been in a state of what feels like perpetual transition. It is epidemic. Everywhere I go I talk to people who have been waiting and waiting…and waiting… on what they believe is their next step. Obstacles have blocked the forward movement of many plans and purposes. Hearts are yearning for what feels so close, but continues to escape their grasp. Well, folks, it is time to stop yielding to the obstacles, and start moving them. Time to push, pull, bulldoze or even explode them out of the way. We aren’t meant to stay in transition.

Great things have probably been happening in your waiting season. You are learning patience at a greater measure than ever before, your desire for what you are moving toward has certainly intensified, you have no question about that which you are longing, and you have probably learned enough of life’s lessons to write a book. But we weren’t meant to stay in the classroom. Unless you are the teacher, the classroom was never meant to be a lifelong calling. Learning is good, and necessary, but it is for the purpose of putting that education to use…for ourselves and for others.

I get it that sometimes people want to move forward so badly they can taste it… but just don’t see a way. Yet even then, there is a way. We must push past the discouragement and grab hold of this. There. Is. A. Way. The counsel of others and/or enlistment of a team are two great obstacle busters, and unlocking our creativity will open up even more ideas! So be sure to explore that. But we also need to take a good look and see if we are choosing to remain in our transition because it is comfortable. It is known. It is predictable. There are no risks. That’s called fear and it is of no benefit to you. Look at where you want to go, realize it’s more important than the fear, and start moving toward it…even if you are baby-stepping it. That’s called courage.

Transition time is up. It is time to move forward. Where do you need to go? To whom do you need to speak? What do you need to do? I am walking with you and I am for you. Let’s do this thing together!
